National Folks Fest – Butte MT
I had the day off – the Friday of the start of the National Folks Festival in Butte and thought we’d head out that way to see it since this year is the last year it will be held in Butte and of course I didn’t make it out there the first two years it was there. Grr… but then I obviously didn’t do my research when heading out because all the advertising did say: Fri, Sat, & Sun… but I didn’t know that on Friday – it didn’t start until 7pm so we got there early and well – walked around. So the good thing is that we got to see the town and then some of the show but it started to sprinkle and Ber and I needed to head back because we were going to cover the farmers market for my sister-n-law early in the morning so didn’t see much. Well – now if I ever want to go to the Folks Fest, I’ll have to head out to another state
Here are some photos from our trip. - usually post more on flickr, haven’t had the chance yet but will do soon, so check there too!

Also weddings & events. Contact me today for a session today…
Fireworks Photos
One mustn’t question why we enjoy July 4th and fireworks! Just stop and stare…
I should take my own advice.. ok – I did, I took it. lol. I was there, about 30 yards from where everyone was standing shooting away because I was keeping the shutter open a bit to capture all the light and realized, this is no fun. grr… I mean, I had a great time and the photos were amazing, but that’s what happens to the photographer, they capture the moments and are not apart of them. So after a couple of shots, I thought – you know what, I’ll put the camera away tonight, and went and watched the rest of the show with him. It was kindda nice, I did miss a couple of grand finale shots of the biggest and bestest works but it wasn’t a biggy – but I got to be with him. lol. I figure – I have about 75+ years left of my life to capture more fireworks along the way… enjoy
Rainy Days in Missoula
I Conquered the World – ok not really
Kim and I hiked Setinel, Jumbo, and Waterworks last night as apart of our training for the Missoula Half Marathon. Waterworks was our last hike when the sun was going down, I asked Kim to take this photo of me because I was so proud of myself –
This morning, up bright and early – and saw the moon set and the sun rise and finally understand what it means by the “early bird gets the worm” – those birds are all up so early! the best time to bird watch is in the morning. all the following pictures were taken in walking distance from the house. I’m so blessed to live in such a beautiful place.
Jewel concert in Missoula Tonight
Everyone has fallen in lover with “You were meant for me” some time or another… I have, and it was then that I picked up one of Jewel’s CD’s and since then just in lover with this women’s music and lyrics. I’ve been trying to go to one of her concerts before but never had the chance so I made sure I didn’t miss her when she passed through Missoula. Here are some photos from tonight’s performance.

I’m in love with her new album “Sweet & Wild” and someone stole my old copy of her album “Goodbye, Alice in Wonderland” so I think that it’s time to be a shoppin for both albums for some great listening.
Her little stories on her life story during the show were so great to listen to. I can’t believe that she was homeless once, and found her way. I guess there’s always a bigger plan for us all, I just haven’t found how I fit into this and that and the other thing.. lol. good night!
